The In-Between Season

Happy Fall everyone! At the start of a new season, a little outfit inspiration can come in handy. Living in Austin, we don’t experience the traditional seasons. Yes, football is on, school’s back in session, and we have things like Halloween and Pumpkin Spiced lattes to look forward to, but the weather…. pretty much stays the same- 80-85 and sunny. While we’re transitioning between seasons, when the temperatures can be tricky, there is one trend that will steer you stylishly through the temperature yo-yos: the ultra-desirable statement knits. If the idea of cocooning yourself in a sumptuous sweater doesn’t fill you with joy, you just haven’t found the right one.
Fall is the season of the statement knit; chunky extravaganzas in a fun patterns or solid colors, as embodied by this cozy Free People number (I ordered it in black and this gorgeous wine color. Far from basic, it’s the be-all and end-all of your look. Embrace it, and let it embrace you. It’s long enough to wear with leggings, jeans, you name it! It is an oversized fit, so I sized down from my normal Free People size small and ordered the XS.
