Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding Hair and Makeup Were Flawless
Meghan Markle is now the Duchess of Sussex and wife of Prince Harry, but she stayed true to her down-to earth California girl roots with her elegant and understated beauty and hair look for her wedding ceremony on Saturday, May 19, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor.
After months of speculation, weeks of “it has to be so-and-so”, we got the answer we were all waiting for this morning when Meghan Markle stepped out of her rolls royce and showed the world the dress we’ve all been waiting to see! The bride wore a simple, yet sophisticated custom Givenchy Haute Couture wedding gown with a bateau neckline designed by Clare Waight Keller — a timeless dress that was sculptural, sleek and true to the bride’s signature style. But while her dress may have been structured and formal, Markle kept things low key with natural, glowing makeup and a chic but slightly undone chignon.
Her wedding makeup look came courtesy of longtime friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin (clients include Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Alba) who crafted a simple and natural makeup style that highlighted her beautiful features without making her look overdone. And as always when it comes to Meghan, her skin was glowing, her cheeks were subtly sculpted with bronzer and her lashes were long, fluttery and feminine. The twist: normally Markle wears a peachy nude glossy lip but for her wedding, Martin painted her pout with a true soft pink lipstick for a hint of bridal brightness. The best part: Markle’s freckles (which she has been outspoken about loving) were visible!
