Embrace the Lace
As a little girl, I spent more time dreaming about playing ball than dressing up for one. Although, now as an adult, I find that I do have a soft spot for evening gowns and beautiful dresses. If I’m invited to a formal party, I want to make sure I’m wearing something that is as unique as the occasion! Whether it’s flirty and fun or elegant, the dress I choose must make me feel my very best.
The gorgeous guipure lace dress I’m wearing here is from Self-Portrait. It’s midi length modernizes it for the evening, while its mixed lace creates an eye catching and unforgettable outfit. The “Prairie” dress combines deep blue, black, and teal lace over a nude slip lining to contrast the lady-like yet daring nature of lace. Lace has been coming back in style for a while, and I love how playful the cut of the dress is! This look is perfect for any formal evening event or holiday party. There’s no need for something as classic as lace to be boring, either. I also love the shorter version of this dress that can be found HERE.
Take a look at my accessories if you need further proof. These Christian Louboutin “Evoluta” sling back pumps are a chic example of a revamped classic. The black pump is upgraded thanks to its asymmetrical style and modern design. This shoe also incorporates a variety of materials, like its leather and suede front straps that lead down to a mesh inset and a patent leather toe. My woven knot clutch is another modernized classic with its woven, black satin front.
If you’ve been following my Instagram and Snapchat lately (@celebstyleguide), you will have already seen how gorgeous the Dallas Hyatt Regency is! It made for a stunning set for our photoshoot, and I’m in love with how the pictures turned out. Check out this post to read more about my stay there!
Have a great weekend, everyone.
