I Tried CoolSculpting, The Kardashian’s Secret To A Revenge Body
I’ve always loved finding out about the tips and secret weapons that Hollywood A-listers, reality TV stars, or anyone in the limelight uses to not only look and feel great because who better to take beauty advice from than the people whose livelihoods depend on it? Whether it’s a new workout routine or a superfood, I’m all ears!! So when I heard about CoolSculpting, ( Khloe Kardashian, Molly Sims and the Real Housewives‘ Secret to a Killer Body ) a non-invasive and non-surgical way to remove stubborn, hard to target body fat, I was so excited to try it!
I began my CoolSculpting journey at the Laurel Corrinne Studio in Austin and I wanted to share my experience with you guys because I absolutely loved it! Through some research, I quickly learned that Laurel Corrinne is THE person to go to for CoolSculpting. As a licensed Medical Aesthetician and Master Skin Care Specialist, Laurel Corrinne’s reputation as one of the most skilled technicians is well deserved. Honestly, her customers’ successful results speak for themselves! Check out her clients before & after photos on her Instagram.
The Laurel Corinne Studio looks like a gorgeous spa, so its rooms are private and calming. What I adore about Laurel Corrinne is that she cares about the comfort of her customers, which creates a safe environment for anyone trying CoolSculpting for the first time. Laurel Corrinne also is wonderful about educating her customers on the CoolSculpting process. She insisted this is not a weight-loss procedure. “This is for someone who is already healthy, but has stubborn, problem areas that they can’t seem to get rid of in the gym,” the expert said. She also explained that the applicator freezes the fat cells in the treated areas. Over the next three months, your body naturally loses those dead cells. They don’t ever come back. Yes please!!
I started my CoolSculpting sessions recently, once warmer weather rolled around (hello beach bodies!). On the day of treatment, Laurel Corrinne used colored markers to draw a type of road map on my stomach. She did this in order to make sure everything was set up perfectly and she’d know exactly where to place the CoolSculpting applicator. Once I laid down, Laurel Corrinne neatly placed a wet, cold liner on the left flank, (this is the area I just couldn’t seem to trim and tone on my own no matter WHAT I did!) I felt excited, nervous and just like a Kardashian, all at the same time.
Next came the actual CoolSculpting applicator placement. With a sweet smile, Laurel Corrinne looked at me.
“You ready?” she asked.
“Let’s go!” I replied eagerly.
As I felt the applicator suction my flank, the initial suction was slightly uncomfortable but passed very quickly. As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, I felt intense cold. This soon dissipates. I also felt some pulling as suction is applied. The area went numb within minutes, and my “problem area” was being suctioned into a fat-freezer. I was just relaxing on a comfy bed with pillows reading my book and answering e-mails and texts.
The Laurel Corrinne Studio has the brand new CoolSculpting applicator which cuts the session time in half. The older machine takes a full hour to complete each area targeted. Each section of my stomach was done one at a time—for 35 minutes each.
The most uncomfortable part of the procedure was when Laurel Corrinne pulled the applicator off my skin and she had to massage the area for 2 minutes to make sure all the fat cells were D-E-A-D. This part of the process is SO important and Laurel Corrinne takes it very seriously even though I was flopping around like a fish while she did it….this was not your typical message, no relaxing here. The good news is I can do anything for 2 minutes and I just kept the end result image in my mind and powered through.
In total, I was there for about three hours. It was non-invasive, FDA approved, super easy, and there was no down time which is perfect for someone always on the go.
I can’t wait to show you guys my results in about eight weeks, so keep your eyes out for a post in June! I would 100 percent do this again and actually really want to. I would also recommend Laurel Corrinne Studio in Austin to anyone thinking about doing CoolSculpting that already lives an active and healthy lifestyle, allowing you to feel and look like your best self. For me, it wasn’t about losing weight as it was about contouring my body. I’m a firm believer in appreciating and celebrating diversity in body types, as everyone is different and should feel good in their own skin! I eat well and exercise daily but I just had THOSE areas that drove me nuts and I needed a little extra help. Therefore, I loved Laurel’s help with CoolSculpting my abs and flanks to get my body ready for beach season.
